Fiji has a total of four divisions namely :
1) Central - The central division has a total of 4.375.14 miles and covers the areas of Suva, Navua, Korovou, Vunidawa and Lami.
2) Eastern - The eastern division consists of mostly islands in the Lau Group and Rotuma. It has a total area of 213007 miles.
3) Western - The western division has a total of 226926 miles and includes Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki.
4) Northern - Covers 55136.9 miles and includes the whole of Vanua Levu including Taveuni.
The divisions are basically groups of provinces clustered together that have few administrative functions and serve to foster the cooperation among provinces for providing services.
