Description: Block Groups (BGs) are statistical divisions of census tracts and are used to present data and control block numbering. Each census tract contains at least one BG, and BGs are uniquely numbered within the census tract.
Population data was obtained from the American Fact Finder website via downloading table P1 from PL 94-171 - 2010 Redistricting Data Summary File for the geographic extent of Shasta County. Data was downloaded in .CSV text file format and then converted to a table and joined to the Block Group boundaries.
