Description:

This dataset represents the 8 fire districts in Amador County and the status of their boundary review and verification. The Amador Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) Executive Officer and the Amador County Transportation Commission, GIS Coordinator reviewed all formation and annexation case files, recorded maps and documents and California State Board of Equalization Tax Rate Areas in order to accurately map the correct boundaries of the fire districts. The 8 districts are:

Sutter Creek FPD -- Accurate district boundary; verified by LAFCO 2019

City of Plymouth/AFPD -- service contracted with AFPD, equal to city boundary; verified by LAFCO 2018

Lockwood FPD -- Accurate district boundary; verified by LAFCO 2018

Kirkwood FPD -- Historic district boundary; not yet verified by LAFCO

Jackson Valley FPD -- Accurate district boundary; verified by LAFCO 2018

Jackson FD -- Equal to city boundary; verified by LAFCO 2018

Ione FD -- Equal to city boundary; verified by LAFCO 2018

Amador FPD -- Remainder of county not served by other FDs/FPDs
