Description: This shows ZCTA (ZIP Code Tabulation Area) boundaries for the state of Oklahoma. These boundaries were created by the census bureau and released with the 2020 census boundary layers. ZCTAs are used to approximate Zip code boundaries. True Zip codes are mail routes maintained by the post office and do not have a physical area. ZCTA boundaries usually, but do not always adhere to the state border. The ZCTAs in this layer were clipped to the Oklahoma boundary so that portions extending into adjacent states have been removed. All attributes are those included by the census bureau. This layer is intended as a base layer that may be joined with ZCTA based data to display results. The original data is located at: https://tigerweb.geo.census.gov/arcgis/rest/services/TIGERweb.
